Scalable Communications Plc announces that it has successfully completed the phase 2 assessment of its Environmental Management System, achieving ISO 14001 certification, to compliment its ISO 9001 certification, awarded in 2008. |

Both assessments were completed by a UKAS registered certification body which will conduct ongoing external assessment of the Quality and Environmental Management system, ensuring impartial review of the company’s management processes. In achieving ISO 14001 certification, Scalable has recognised the need to identify the aspects of its operations which can have an impact on the environment, including the impact the solutions it provides can have when used by its customers. The need for an Environmental Management System is widely recognised and issues such as Global warming, climate change and energy usage are now top of the agenda. ISO 14001 meets the need by providing a system for managing an organisations impact on the environment that can be certified externally and compared to others around the world.
